My goal is to explore life as seen from my eyes and translate it into my work with personal closeness to the artwork, for each observer can relate and share its meaning and aesthetic values. Each of my creations share its own pieces of history, thoughts, and expressions. The most common expression present in every work I create is; love.
I consider my artwork to represent forgotten values, trends, styles, and stories. While focusing on the living things, made of material created by the living things, I am trying to emphasize on my own living. Through the journey of creation, I tend to bring the natural to the unnatural. When observing, I gather stories, materials, and emotions. When it comes to creating, I release it onto my canvas, whether physical or digital. Each piece is a revival and an experiment on its own. Each revival gives birth to an everlasting monument of dedication and appreciation for the material, its life story, and its expression. With an essential and personally favorite material, wood. Not just any wood. Only the one that is chosen because it is rejected, forgotten, and wounded by people. Because of the kindness of my parents, who taught me to love trees and to respect them deeply. And to constantly remind ourselves; “there used to be a tree here, a part of a park, a part of somebody's garden, a part of someone's childhood”… a part of a home canopied where the birds lived.
If I am to name it, I would call it creating by observation, an infinite amount of ideas and solutions can be brought to life, or back to life. Using recycled components and noticing unusual values that stand out, while respecting the natural secrets embodied in abandoned items and materials.
